Google Fonts GDPR Compliant

Google Fonts GDPR Compliant helps reduce privacy concerns associated with loading Google Fonts from Google’s servers by hosting supported fonts on the Shopify CDN instead.

When fonts are loaded directly from Google, visitors’ IP addresses may be shared with Google. Hosting fonts locally can help reduce this data transfer.

1. How to install the Google Fonts GDPR Compliant extension?

Step 1: From your EComposer dashboard, go to CRO Extensions from the left sidebar menu.
Step 2: Search for the Google Fonts GDPR Compliant extension.
Step 3: Click Details and install the extension on your store.

2. Configure Extension Settings

The Settings tab allows you to enable or disable the Google Fonts GDPR Compliant extension.

• Enable extension: Toggle this option to enable or disable the extension.
• Save: Click Save to apply your settings to your store.

3. How to Check if Google Fonts Are Hosted Locally

You can use the following tools to check whether Google Fonts are being loaded from Google’s servers or hosted locally. Simply enter your store’s page URL and follow the instructions on the checker.

• Google Fonts Checker (German): Enter your page URL and click the check button. The interface is in German.
• Google Fonts Checker (English): Use this English-language tool to check your page.
